"This year’s early monsoon rains in the Uttarakhand region of India are believed to be the heaviest in 80 years. Swollen rivers have swept away entire villages in the state during peak tourist season. More than 1,000 people are believed to have died and thousand of others remain stranded in remote areas. Nearly 100,000 people have been evacuated so far, with the military continuing helicopter flights into the mountains to reach several thousand Hindu pilgrims and tourists who remain there.

Times like these call for compassion and support. BAPS Charities has provided needy assistance in times of such calamities. Kindly show your support by contributing to the BAPS Charities Uttarakhand Flood Relief fund.”

"I agree , it’s Lost civilization here
Sometimes I feel how lucky we are that we are living in a clean, protected society where criminals are caught immediately. God bless & protect those who are living in unfortunate places around the world. Prayers and RIP to the young victim who died in the recent gang-rape case. http://world.time.com/2012/12/28/indian-rape-victims-condition-dies/ …"
